The year has come to an end. December has another name in Japan - it is called ‘Shiwasu’. The word has a couple of meanings and opinions to explain it.
One of the popular meanings is ‘shi’ runs around because they are busy for the year-end Buddhist events (Shi refers to Buddhist monks). Thus, it is believed in Japan that December is the busiest month. We would like to be careful about our health and be ready for entering a new year with a lot of happiness.
